Please note this listing is for revision (2) of TNPA5351. There is also revision (3) of the board, which looks very very similar, but which uses slightly different control signals. At time of creation of this listing we can service and test in a live set TNPA5351 (2), but only service and NOT test TNPA5351 (3).
HOW DOES IT WORK This is a flat rate testing and repair service, meaning we will attempt to repair any problem with the board within that price as long as the board we receive meets our requirements (see separate section below). Depending on what we find out and what we do you pay the listed price or less (details explained further below). Following the instructions you package and send or otherwise deliver the board to us.
If the board arrives in working order you will be contacted for details. If the board is bad then we attempt to repair it. If we succeed we usually send the board back without communication. If we fail to repair the board we contact you with details.
If you have any questions please ask before initiating the service! FAILURE SYMPTOMS SC sustain TNPA5351 (2) fails sometimes when buffer boards fail and sometimes it fails on its own. But we have not established a solid pattern for either failure. In other words when either the SU or SD boards TNPA5340 and TNPA5341 fail (usually only the SU) the SC board TNPA5351 may or may not fail and when it fail the SU buffers may or may not be affected. When SC board TNPA5351 has failed, though, it is usually easily detectable by testing the power components on it for shortage.
A failed TNPA5351 (2) will almost always have short circuit between 2 out of 3 pins in one or more of the following components: Q621, Q622, Q623, Q401, Q402, Q403, Q421, Q422, Q423. Other components may have also been damaged and often are, but those are sufficient for determining with certainty the board needs servicing. WhenTNPA5351 (2) has failed the TV would detect that and refuse to start with 7 blinks error code on the front LED. THe same error code will show when either of the buffer boards is bad. This is the time it takes for a package that was received to move up the queue and get opened.
Sometimes, depending on situation, we may leave opened box and make another try on the next day. Note that it is not guaranteed that the queue will take exactly 2 or 3 days to process. Sometimes - especially after long holodays - it can be larger and take longer. We do our best, but we have no efficient means of managing the work load on demand. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BOARD(S) SENT IN FOR SERVICE.The board(s) we receive must be physically intact and must have not been tampered with or serviced before. The advertised flat rate for repair service is only valid when the above conditions are met. Exceptions are possible and often applied for minor repair attempts, but we reserve the sole right to judge if and when we would consider a repair minor. It is also possible, depending on the condition of the board, to eliminate the second possibility and just flat our reject having to service the board.
Subject to situation and availability we may also recommend replacement of the board, again at the higher than advertised price for repair. 4 RIGHT TO WITHDRAW - we reserve the right to refuse to sell for whatever reason.
